Murphy: With less than two weeks until New York Fashion Week, the chaos is already in full swing (and I’m loving it). It’s one of the most exciting times in the industry. From hosting model castings to managing social media, to planning our show and just running down the block for a coffee, there’s hardly a minute to spare. It’s a busy time, but one that I always look forward to – and one when I always rely on my go-to uniform.
Murphy: I think you can never underestimate the value of a classic, tailored blazer. It’s an easy throw-on that makes me feel a little more put together (especially on busier days).
Murphy: If I’m going tailored on top, I like to go with slouchy on the bottom. The Marissa Webb Kenzi pants are a nice alternative to boyfriend jeans, and the zipper and stitching details make them really special. I feel like I’m dressed but am still comfortable enough to run around – presentable, yet functional is definitely key!
Last but not least, the final touches cannot be forgotten! I think accessories really finish off my uniform. My go-to accessories are sunglasses, jewelry, and during these colder winter months, a scarf and hat (I love to knit my own). A good heel also adds a punch to any outfit – I recently bought these fringe Marissa Webb Izzy booties and now I never want to take them off!
